Words Ellie can say...

Time flies...
When Ellie was a year and a half she was talking.
J decided to use a dry erase board to keep track of all the words she could say.
For fear of loosing this I took a photo of the board we recently found. Some of the words have faded and disappeared but you get the idea.

Next, we'll get her to start spelling the words. So far she's mastered the "E".

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

And what an amazing comeback by our Boston Celtics last night!
Irish Eyes were smiling on the squad last night!

Friday & Verizon FIos

I took Friday off as a day off to relax. HA!
I wound up re-doing our bathroom and J and I doing our taxes that went on for 3+ hours.
A slight snag but they should be resolved today. Finger's crossed.

Saturday we had our Verizon FIos installed. Wasn't supposed to take all day... but it did. The wireless portion wasn't cooperating. The small population of Apple users don't get the best support. It worked for the tech so he left (who was really patient and excellent!) and I waited to get Apple support from Verizon. As usual that didn't happen and I resolved it myself.

We got it. It's great.

Gary Locke

I thought I'd share a friend's blog with you all.

Gary's Blog

Gary and I have done a bunch of work together back at my Gamewright days.
He's a gifted artist and a wonderful person to work with who has a fantastic sense of humor.
Not to mention a sports nut. We won't recount the World Series between the Sox and the Cardinals... On a Sox note here's a brilliant illustration done by Gary.

Go Sox!

A Winter Get Away for Two

It's been a few weeks.
I could say I've been busy.. I have but the real reason is my home computer died. Dead as a doornail until I give someone money to fix it. I'm pretty bummed about it. It's likely the power supply but it could be more than that and how far do I go before I just buy a new machine for the same money?

Other than that things have been really great. We had an absolutely wonderful weekend this past week. Johanna and I both got out of work early on Friday due to the snow. It was such a pretty day. The snow was light and fluffy not very cold or windy. I suggested we start a fire in our outdoor fire pit and enjoy the snow while having some hot chocolate. Conditions were Perfect! A little winter wonderland to kick-off our weekend. Ahhhhhhhhh...

Saturday morning we got up and started to pack and get ready to head up to The Inn on Newfound Lake. J and I had reservations to spend Saturday night up there to relax and see our Inn Keepers friends Larry & Phelps and who ever else we may run into at the tavern. Ellie enjoyed herself at Grandma & Grandpa's with Auntie Cherie visiting as well.

When we got up there we headed to the office and saw Larry. We chatted for a bit and then headed through the kitchen to the Inn. It felt like that scene in "Good Fella's" or "Swingers". Got settled and we just hung out reading and playing games while listening to music on my ipod. Occasionally we'd look out the window onto Newfound Lake to see tons of ice fishermen and snowmobiler's crowding the lake. Turn out there was a tournament going on. It's one of those things that I want to try it looks like a fun community to be a part of out there. Just what we needed.

We got ready for a wonderful dinner down in the Inn's dining room. Larry expected us to be in the Tavern... We will be just after dinner. Despite a coughing fit the dinner and service were amazing. We took our time and enjoyed their award winning Chocolate torte for dessert.

Now on to the tavern. We sat at the bar and refilled our wine and beer's and met some other folks staying at the Inn. Mostly from MA. We sat and chatted for hours and the room started to thin out and now the locals and friends remained. That's usually when the party starts.

Next morning we got up had breakfast at the Inn and headed off to Tilton (The outlet mall) to get Ellie a present for being an absolute doll for Grandma & Grandpa. When we arrived to get Elle she was happy to see us but didn't run to us as she usually does... A sign of she didn't miss us too much... She was having to much fun playing and cooking with Grandma & Auntie.

We headed home and that was that!

A Great Weekend.
